Facilities Hire

The school has 2 facilities for hire, the Community Hall and Sports Hall. Both are available to the public for suitable community events.

Community Hall

Overview

The Eatons Hill State School Community Hall is located at the eastern edge of the Eatons Hill State School grounds, and is serviced by the adjacent “Apex Park” car park, off Apex Grove.

The facility is comprised of a single main hall (the “Clyde Campbell Auditorium”) with an elevated Performance Stage, full Audio-Visual Facilities and a spacious equipped Kitchen Facility. The hall has an operable wall which enables the main hall to be divided into two large areas.

Covered concreted walkways surround the building. There are covered entry points and an external area with artificial turf. General Toilets are Male and Female, with a separate Unisex Disabled Toilet. All toilets are built within the hall structure, but are accessed from outside the Hall. There is external Security Lighting and the grounds can be floodlit.

The facility is suitable for Conferences, Meetings and Seminars; Performances; and Community Events and Activities. It has direct wheelchair and disabled access.

The facility will be available for hire on a limited basis, and subject to approval of the EHSSCHMC, (the “Eatons Hill Sate School Community Hall Management Committee”).

Sports Hall

Overview

The Eatons Hill State School Sports Hall is located at the eastern edge of the Eatons Hill State School grounds, and is serviced by the adjacent “Apex Park” car park, off Apex Grove.

The complex comprises a Multipurpose Court Area, with an adjoining raised and tiered Seating Area, a Kitchenette and a general unisex Toilet Facility (disabled equipped); all in one undercover complex.

The multipurpose courts are all-weather courts; designed and marked for Tennis, Basketball, Netball and Volleyball. There is a motorised dividing net that allows the area two be divided in two, preventing ball play on one court interfering with the adjacent court.

Basketball Poles are permanent fixtures at each end of the court. Temporary Tennis, Netball and Volleyball Poles and Nets are available, with provision for their placement within the floor of the courts. Tennis, Volleyball and Netball Poles and Nets are to be returned after use to their allocated storage areas within the Community Store Room.

A concreted walkway to the Sports Centre provides Disability Access. There are covered entry points and an external area with artificial turf. There is external Security Lighting and the grounds can be floodlit eastwards towards the car park off Apex drive.

Sports Hall Hire Costs

The hire fees are by negotiation but a single event is likely to be approximately $35 per hour plus GST with a minimum 2 hour booking time. This includes use of the floodlights if necessary.

Sports Hall Availability

The Sports Hall is already leased for several mornings and every week day afternoon until 8:00pm. Some weekday mornings and Saturday and Sunday may be available.
